Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I practice psychotherapy in the Silver Lake community of Los Angeles. My practice is based in acceptance and kindness, and I hold a strong belief that there is no room for judgment in productive psychotherapy. I collaborate with you to create a therapeutic course that feeds your personal curiosity, builds upon the strengths you already have, and teaches you new techniques for coping with stress and sadness. Throughout therapy, we will focus on strengthening and protecting your mental well-being. I will support you in your quest to be true to yourself and the people you love. I support adults, adolescents, and preteens in my practice. I gathered my experience working in hospital, clinic, and private practice settings. I am trained to help people with parenting and pregnancy, depression, anxiety, addiction, career struggles, grief, trauma, sexuality, and relationships. I also have experience in the psychology of parenting. I combine traditional "talk" therapy with art therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR to facilitate change and relief. I have been trained by Postpartum Support International to treat anxiety and depression occurring during pregnancy and postpartum. I help people feel more fullfilled in their professional career and relationships.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
