Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My mission as a therapist is to assist you in maneuvering through difficult times. To help you find ways of remaining true to yourself and true to your own goals while connecting to others. To offer tools to move you forward into change and growth when and if it is right for you. And to build a safe, equal and honest relationship with you that becomes the knowledge base for you to build other mature relationships outside of therapy. Therapy is a dynamic process that begins with helping you define what isn't working and is causing you pain. We focus on establishing the goals that would be helpful and are right for you. We then tailor the therapy to meet your needs and reach those goals. The side benefits to therapy can include becoming empowered through self-discovery, learning new tools of communication, understanding self-nurturance and gaining internal balance

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
