Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have enjoyed the process to become a therapist, and to help others learn to cope with an increasingly difficult world we live in. My work takes me to children and teens, young adults, couples and families. I work with athletes in training around issues of goal setting, stress and injury management, and visualizations. I help many families with children and teens learn to manage their lives better and to learn how to set healthy limits with their children. I also help many individuals acknowledge their addictive and abusive actions so that they can take healthier actions to further success in their lives. I am most interested in self esteem and developmental stages of life. I also supervise MFT Interns and Trainees.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
