Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have spent many years specializing in the treatment of adolescents, young adults, and families in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Over recent years I have served as the head of child and adolescent day treatment programming at the historic and esteemed Edgewood Center for Children and Families in San Francisco. Simultaneously I have been a professor and professional trainer specializing in the clinical psychology, group psychotherapy, behavioral modification, and parenting throughout the Bay Area. I believe that all clients deserve to be supported in an empathic caring environment, that emphasizes goals and resolution to presenting issues. My time as a clinician and educator has brought me a wealth of practical knowledge. I employ this in treating clinical issues and the impact they can have on academics, families, and relationships. Below is a full list of settings that I have served youth and families: Edgewood Center for Children and Families Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital (Stanford) San Mateo County School Based Mental Health San Mateo County Office of Education I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you on your journey to health and success

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
