Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education and a degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling.

Beginning in 1962 and continuing for the next thirteen years, I was a paraprofessional counselor for individuals and groups at the Southern California Counseling Center and led groups of interns in training.

It was that experience in counseling that led me to pursue my master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from the California Family Study Foundation in 1979. In 1981 I began my present practice as a psychotherapist. Upon becoming licensed as a psychotherapist, the Foundation engaged me as a growth group leader for therapy students at the Foundation.

I have been privileged to serve as a psychotherapist for both individuals and groups, and to guide and help my wonderful clients for the past 46 years. I specialize in relationships involving couples, family and employment.

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
