Therapy provides a safe and accepting environment in which to explore yourself and discover new ways to live. While specific goals will vary, the main objective is to create changes that enable you to experience more fulfillment out of relationships, work and life in general.
I consider myself eclectic. This means I pull from many different theories when working with clients. I view therapy as a collaborative process where the client and counselor together determine what will be most effective. For example, it might be helpful to look at how your past experiences are affecting you today. Or, it might be more useful to examine how your thoughts and feelings impact your relationships. For children (as well as adults), play and art are very powerful mediums of expression and growth.
