Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Many people turn to therapy when they don't know where else to turn. You might be feeling pain or feelings that are confusing or overwhelming to you; you may be acting (or thinking) in ways that you would rather not act (or think). I see therapy as a unique opportunity to engage in a collaborative relationship--focusing on your needs--that helps you go where you want to go in your life, or heal what needs to be healed. Together, we will work to create the safe environment that you need to do your work. I offer warmth, curiosity, and an ability to "bear witness," as well as attuned and direct feedback to help you develop more compassion for yourself and others, consider options that you haven't been able to imagine on your own, and meet your goals. The potential rewards can be plenty. I have over twenty years experience working with individual adults, couples and adolescents. I also do family therapy to help work out the blocks that have built up between adult children and their parent(s).

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
