Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a Certified Gestalt Therapist my goal is to help individuals, couples and families in all stages of life gain awareness and acceptance of their true self, restore self-regulation, regain responsibility, and re-own their power and potential.

I believe that the nature of human beings tends toward growth and harmony. Along the way, this natural ability to self-regulate may unfortunately be interrupted. In my work with clients, I trust that self-awareness is the key to personal healing, and will restore the growth process. As individuals learn more about their true selves, and learn to love, accept, and appreciate who they really are, change is inevitable, the growth takes place naturally.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
