Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Through my own life experiences, I have gained a tremendous regard for persons who have experienced tragedy, loss or hardship and a sensitive regard for the challenges they may face. One of my strengths is an ability to convey this understanding, and create an atmosphere in which even persons unfamiliar with therapy can begin to safely explore their psychological lives. I have found that accompanying my clients in this process often provides them with a broader sense of possibility for their lives, which can be in itself tremendously healing. In addition to excellent training, I’ve been engaged in my own personal growth for thirty years, and bring a keen interest in human learning and development to my practice as a therapist. At its heart, I believe the therapeutic endeavor is a human one, created by client and therapist in tandem. When approached with integrity and care, its reparative potential can be profound.

Featured Therapist

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
