Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have been licensed for ten years and have enjoyed working with a diverse client population. I use a variety of brief and long-term client centered approaches, focusing on the best fit for each individual, nurturing, self-relaization with compassionate guidance. Assisting clients in expressing their emotions, developing insight and overcoming challenges to reach their aspirations and golas in life is central to my work. My areas of clinical specialization include trust and intimacy, communication and self-esteem, addiction and dependency issues, grief and anger management, life transitions, and parenting children with special needs. My office is centrally located in downtown Santa Barbara and I am offering both day and evening hours. My fees are subject to adjustment based on financial need. I offer supervision and consultations, and I am also available for trainings and speaking engagements. I have a complete sand tray collection available for those interested in exploring this insightful approach as well.

Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
