Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
If you are dealing with the effects of trauma, anxiety, or depression, sometimes having someone that understands you can get you through the toughest times. We've all found ourselves standing on a road we didn't plan, wondering how we got to where we are. I'm here to support, see, and know you. You can heal emotional wounds by creatively exploring and understanding your thoughts and experiences as well as generations of dynamics, trauma, and strengths. Together we can cultivate a centered approach to life and find acceptance and wholeness. I offer sessions using an intuitive, holistic approach to therapy. Depending on your needs I hold sessions in English or Spanish and use a blend of Art Therapy and Mindfulness meditation with foundations in Family Systems Theory and Cognitive Behavioral therapy. I have 14 years experience in the mental health field and am a registered Art Therapist (ATCB 13-015). My office is located in Atwater Village and I offer evening appointments and a sliding scale to fit your needs. Send me an email or give me a call and we can discuss your specific situation.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
