Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
No matter what walk of life we are in, we all can use a little help now and then. Sometimes we need someone to just listen and allow us to pour out our feelings, at other times we may need someone to rebound our ideas off and then to assist in problem solving, and then there are the times when we are lost and need guidance back to a healthy lifestyle. Having been in a war zone and seen the effects of trauma, this has become an area of focus for my practice. With LA County Probation I have worked with Juvenile Delinquents and Adult Addicts, thus providing experience in working with the court system. Addictions, abuse, out-of-control kids, relationship issues, men’s issues, marriage problems, and eating disorders, are just a few of the areas I specialize in. I would be pleased to be your listener, guide, or cheerleader.

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
