Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Deciding to begin psychotherapy is a turning point. It could mark the beginning of new insights into yourself and the world. It could even lead to discovering a deeper purpose for your life. Your relationship with your therapist is a very important asset to you in helping you to transform the meaning of your emotional suffering. My commitment to you is to be with you in a way that facilitates your healing process, so that not only the surface symptoms are relieved, but also so you emerge with a truer understanding of yourself. While you are in therapy, you will be reflecting, talking, reading, and trying out new attitudes and new behaviors. As you do so, your brain will be making new connections that allow you to feel better, and do better. You may begin to attract people and situations you never thought possible.
