Personal Statement:
“Life is hard! Are you having trouble coping? Wondering about your direction and purpose in life? I am a psychotherapist who believes that during times of adversity there is incredible potential for personal growth. I provide a warm and caring environment where you can gain support and understanding regarding the issue/s you are facing. I can help you articulate YOUR goals and develop a plan for reaching them.

I work from a psychodynamic/humanistic perspective (What does this mean? Feel free to ask me). I have extensive experience in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. Areas of specialization include: couples counseling, eating disorders, career crisis, addiction/recovery and chronic/life threatening illnesses.

I focus on helping you reconnect with a sense of purpose and passion in living. I guide you to regain a sense of control and self confidence in your life.”

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
