Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I enjoy being a psychotherapist, and take pride in doing good work. Being in the therapy/mental health profession for the past twenty years has given me a broad range of clinical experience that I bring to my practice. Besides helping with recent and longstanding concerns or difficulties, therapy can also play an important role in furthering one’s personal growth. I maintain a diverse, bi-lingual practice. I work with people seeking assistance with a wide range of concerns/hopes related to depression, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem/self-worth/self-confidence, life transitions, parenting, life direction/purpose, trauma, grief, etc. My clients continually demonstrate the capacity that all of us have for healing, feeling better, having fulfilling relationships, living joyfully, and growing. Therapy is most effective when there is a "good fit" between the client and therapist. I am thoughtful, interactive, empathic, sincere, and insightful. People find me very easy to relate to. My work is informed by a variety of approaches that I utilize to address each person's unique situation.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
