Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I employ an array of modalities in psychotherapy but rely primarily on the cognitive approach. Individuals gain insight into dysfunctional patterns and the irrational core beliefs that sustain them. I view my patients as whole human beings who possess within themselves everything they need to solve their problems. I work with adolescents, adults and seniors in individual therapy, as well as with couples, families and groups. I enjoy assisting clients with working through issues that have created depression, anxiety and stress in their lives. I like helping couples and families improve their relationships by building trust and improving communication skills. Life coaching helps individuals navigate a successful course from where they are now to where they want to be. I help them connect with the internal vision that aligns with their life's purpose. This vision can guide choices regarding career , education, relationships, financial goals, family, spiritual evolution, and service. As a meditation trainer and group leader, I add a spiritual dimension to my work. I facilitate weekly meditation groups. Members report significant positive change. They report that a grounded, peaceful center has been established within them that enables them to function in daily life with more ease and grace. "

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
