Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
“Are you feeling sad, overwhelmed, uncertain, anxious, or confused about who you are and what you want? Stuck in a rut? Want to feel good about yourself and your life but unable to either access or sustain it? I am experienced and skilled in working with these issues. I will focus on understanding you in breadth and depth in an atmosphere of unconditional acceptance geared to enabling you to enhance your ability to lead a productive, satisfactory, and creative life. Empathy, Safety and Genuine Concern capture the quality of counseling I provide.

Rather than impose solutions, I guide clients to find their own inner resources so they can achieve their maximum potential. Together, we examine self-defeating thoughts & behaviors, identify life-transforming choices, learn new ways to manage disruptive feeling, cultivate effective communication skills and work on discovering joy, intimacy, and meaning in life.

My method is conversational, and collaborative in the context of an attuned, trusting relationship. My manner is friendly, respectful, and consistent. I am reliable, trustworthy, readily accessible, and highly motivated in helping you achieve therapeutic success. I invite you to meet with me to see if we have mutual rapport.”
