Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Let’s face it… life happens! We try our best to make the environment around us as comfortable as possible for ourselves, and many times we succeed. And then, there are those times when we just feel ‘stuck’ and frustrated, perhaps even discouraged. Often, if we stay in those ‘stuck’ times for too long, we end up experiencing feelings like depression, anxiety, stress, anger, low self-worth, decreased motivation, or just plain moodiness. It almost feels like we’re lacking some hidden knowledge about ourselves that could unlock that stuck feeling and let us get back to, or begin, feeling motivated and confident about the direction of our lives. When done sensitively and genuinely, within a contained and safe environment, therapy can be a highly useful tool to pry yourself loose from those ‘stuck’ places, so you can begin making safe, healthy, and effective choices for yourself, your family, and your future.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
