Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I believe the decision to explore your own issues, in the safety of therapy, is one of the most lasting gifts you can give to yourself. It is a Transformative Journey. Whether you are seeking better communication with your family and co-workers, or attempting to grieve and recover from a profound loss, therapy is an investment in you. My intention is to provide a sanctuary for you to explore and resolve your specific concerns. Clients work on their relationship to themselves and their relationship to others. I work well with those who desire deeper relationship connections. By learning how to best partner oneself, clients are then able to better partner their partner! In addition, some common issues are healing from betrayal, depression, anxiety, fear, abuse, grief and life transitions (graduation, empty nest, birth, separation, divorce, death & rites of passage.) Other areas of emphasis may be: addictions, anger management, career issues, communication skills, eating disorders, gay/lesbian issues, life transitions, stress management, and women's issues. I see adults for Individual Therapy or for Couple Therapy, as they bridge the disparity between their current situation and their ideal. I honor each client's unique pacing. In addition to "talk therapy", I utilize Guided Imagery and Dream Work. If this resonates for you, please call.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
