Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
From time to time we all need support in seeing more clearly and creating the life we desire. I help men and women understand what is holding them back and assist them in developing a more rewarding life. My counseling career began at Turning Point Center for Families and Newport Harbor High, counseling individuals, couples, and teens. My clinical psychology graduate work was completed at Pepperdine University where I graduated with honors. In our work together, my clients and I have focused on helping them develop stronger relationships, reduce their anxiety and depression symptoms, and develop strong support systems and tools. My style is one of genuine connection and empathy as well as directly addressing goals and needs.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
