Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Does it seem that no matter what you do it never seems good enough? Or do people seem to disappoint you? Do you try to feel safe, but you can't quite do it? Do you get bored easily, or procrastinate? Does it feel like there's always too much to do? Are you a caregiver who's feeling unappreciated? With loving respect I can help and support you in finding ways to get your needs met, figure out your goals and work toward achieving them, and live a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life. I have worked with recovering alcoholic/addicts, co-alcoholics, and children of alcoholic/addicts throughout my career. I've been successful at lessening patients' depression and anxiety. Teaching numerous couples the communication skills that can make a difference in relating successfully has brought me joy. I help people feel better about themselves. I use the Enneagram, a system that identifies personality types and the tendencies inherent in them extensively in my work. The cognitive/behavioral approach I use has helped many people. People learn what's possible and how to achieve it working with me.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
