Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I work with women and men individually and in couples, multi-cultural and LGBT populations. I have been practicing for 25 years and am trained in EFT Couples Therapy psychodynamic psychotherapy and mind/body skills. My specialties include relationship and couples work, self-esteem, grief, loss, depression and anxiety, loss and life transitions. I see my role as a guide and facilitator to help my clients discover the resources within themselves to become active agents of their own healing. For individuals, we'll explore the relational patterns in your life, your self-relationship -thoughts, emotions and sensations- and the ways you've learned to cope that maybe aren't helping you anymore. Through that exploration we can gain new awareness about the sources of your unhappiness and your inner capacities to transform your patterns. In a safe and boundaried setting I can help you find new ways to manage the discomfort and pain that arise from life's challenges so that you can feel more vitality, connectedness, authenticity and peace with yourself and others.
