Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Teens, college students, and their parents sometimes need help navigating the period of transition from living at home to moving away. Often, maturing children significantly effect the family dynamic as they become more independent. I'm here to help. I love the dynamic nature of young adults and hope to help Marin families create more ease and enjoyment of their relationships. My somatic approach helps clients use applied mindfulness to inhabit their bodies in present time. Sounds simplistic, doesn't it? Believe me, it takes practice. This body centered style is great for athletes, actors, musicians, and parents alike. Being more at home in your body is an important step for achieving your goals. At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
