Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I work with individuals and couples using methods from a variety of approaches, including family systems therapy, depth psychology, expresssive arts therapy and hypnotherapy. I am comfortable with both transpersonal and cognitive models. One of my primary ways of understanding and working with clients is Self-Relations Psychotherapy (a therapeutic model developed by Stephen Gilligan that focuses on reconnecting mind-body processes). Sessions may include gestalt, process-oriented therapy techniques, and exploring the different, sometimes conflicting parts within, as well as investigating the meaning of dreams, physical symptoms, and behavioral patterns. I am on the faculty at Saybrook University's College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences. I also offer workshops and groups: Somatic Explorations, Guiding the Journey: Facilitating Transformative Experiences, Exploring Psyche & Soma, Psychology of the Chakras

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Pasadena, CA 91101

I am a Marriage and Family therapist in private practice. I work with individuals, couples, and families in short and long-term psychotherapy. We work together to explore memories of the relational dynamics of the individual’s family, the feelings those dynamics created for the individual as a child, and how the individual now relates to those feelings and memories.
