Personal Statement:
Shai Lavie, M.A., Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, works with adults, adolescents, and children in private practice in San Rafael. He is certified in the Hakomi Method of body-oriented psychotherapy. He is also certified in the Somatic Experiencing method of working with trauma, developed by Peter Levine. Shai also teaches meditation to teens at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and leads Wilderness Rites of Passage groups through Wilderness Reflections (www.wildernessreflections.com). Shai has been leading personal growth groups for 11 years, including groups for men going through transitions, teen groups, and the Embodied Dream Group, which integrates Hakomi, Somatic Experiencing, group process, ritual, and Jungian dream work.
