Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Since 1989, I have been helping people uncover, explore, and work through barrriers to authenticity and aliveness. Together we bring into awareness the thoughts and feelings that can interfere with being more fully engaged with yourself or others. You may feel that you don't know yourself or can't be yourself; that decisions are difficult to make or impossible to follow through on; or that connections with others are empty or unsatisfying. Taking a look at what's getting in the way can make a difference. I help people with the ups and downs of anxiety and depression, the hopes and fears of life transistions, the pain of grief and loss, the challenges of infertility and chronic illness and the dissatisfaction that can come from distant or conflict-filled relationships. Whether working with individuals or couples, my style is engaged, curious and collaborative. We will focus on moment-to-moment interactions, as well as important events from the past - making the connections that lead to growth and change and opening the door to a more vital and fulfilling life.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
