Personal Statement:
Sharon Kman has been a psychotherapist for 31 years. She believes psychotherapy is a supportive practical tool for life change. Married for 36 years, Sharon helps couples develop lasting realtionship skills and intimacy. She works with adolescents and their families to thrive during this difficult life transition. In individual psychotherapy, she supports sexual abuse survivors to heal the pain of the trauma and transform personal survival skills into the tools of a fulfilling life. Sharon has lectured at San Fancisco State University, developed one of the first asthma support groups in the Bay Area, and consulted to Bay Area hospitals. Sharon currently works with people who are challend with chronic health issues to practically cope with their disabiliites and enhance their abilities. She conducts trainings and workshops and provides supervision in private practice. Specialies include couples, adolescents, chroic health issues, abuse and EMDR. Offices in San Francisco and San Mateo.
