Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I work with individuals who are seeking more clarity and focus in their lives. Often people notice that they are repeating the same patterns in life, perhaps in relationships or at work. Therapy can help shift these patterns and help you love yourself -- in all of its many aspects. I help people to build bridges between the many aspects of self so that life can be lived more fully and more richly. I also work with couples to create richer, more abundant relationships. Learning to communicate more clearly from the heart rather than from reactivity is key. I work in a non-partisan, comfortable way so that couples, who are new to couples therapy or who worry that they will be shamed by the work, feel safe and heard.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
