Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving the San Gabriel Valley from my private practice located in Old Town Monrovia. I offer years of professional, as well as life experiences, that have added to my ability for skillful and attentive listening, sensitivity and empathy to emotional and spiritual pain, respect for differing beliefs and life styles, all while providing safety and confidentiality within the therapeutic relationship. I provide psychotherapy for adolescents and adults in individual, couples or family therapy settings. I often combine the use of Narrative Therapy (telling and re-writing ones life story), Solution Focus Therapy to address immediate crises and to help you find your inner strengths, as well as Family Systems Theories to strengthen your relationships at home, work and socially. However, I do not limit therapy to just these approaches. I believe first in the importance of coming to clearly understand the needs and goals of my clients and then offering the most effective approaches in support of reaching their desired goals.
