Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I help people identify and use their unique strengths in dealing with life difficulties and transitions. I offer safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment where we’ll work together to address the root of your problems and create long-term change and lasting solutions. My goal is to help you heal your emotional pain, make creative decisions and achieve your best self.

I work with adults, couples, and families on concerns such as stress, depression, anxiety, PTSD, loneliness and grief. I have extensive experience counseling children, adolescents and young adults both in school/college settings and agencies. We use art, play and conversation to deal with problems including low self-esteem, bullying, divorce, poor academic performance, eating disorders, peer pressure and anxiety.

I also work with parents teaching them (through a choice-based program) how to set boundaries and form a more cooperative relationship with their child.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
