Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Observing the way adolescents emerge from children to adolescents and how this affects the dynamics of the family has always been fascinating to me. It has been my focus of work for 15 years through many different capacities from camp counselor, to teacher, to therapist. Acquiring my MFT license has enabled me to help both the adolescent and their family navigate through a time that often creates difficulties in communication and puts tremendous stress on the parent child relationship. Through my studies, I have acquired a Chemical Dependency certificate, which enables me to work with individuals struggling with drugs and/or alcohol. I co-direct PACTS, an at-risk adolescent clinic at MRI in Palo Alto, utilizing the Brief Therapy and Strategic Family Therapy models. These therapeutic models use focused and purposeful interventions to create behavioral change individually and within the dynamics of a family.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Pasadena, CA 91101

I am a Marriage and Family therapist in private practice. I work with individuals, couples, and families in short and long-term psychotherapy. We work together to explore memories of the relational dynamics of the individual’s family, the feelings those dynamics created for the individual as a child, and how the individual now relates to those feelings and memories.
