Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I approach my role as a Psychotherapist primarily as that of being an Emancipator. Clients come to me with a unique set of obstacles that get in their way of making meaningful contact with the world. My goal is to collaborate with clients on identifying and removing these obstacles, so that they are free to live more authentic lives and pursue what they feel is most meaningful. In doing so, clients will inevitably experience more personal freedom, emotional maturity and self-esteem. Meaningful engagement with others will soon follow. Combining Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy with a Narrative approach can be especially helpful in freeing clients from addictions, co-dependency/chronic family issues, depression, identity/life transition problems, and challenges adult survivors of childhood abuse face.

Whether it's difficulty with a partner or spouse, teens or parents, friends or co-workers, a troubled relationship is painful.
