Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have worked in private practice and in the Community College System for over 25 years. I enjoy working with many diverse groups and individuals. My personal life and travel experiences have allowed me the opportunity to interact with peoples of many cultures. In addition before becoming a therapist I was a Viet Nam Era Service Memer and worked with the Red Cross. I believe these positions and experiences all add depth and understanding to my therapeutic work with patients. My therapeutic style is constantly evolving incorporating experience with new techniques and life lessons. It is both an honor and a humbling experience to be able to do this work. I am blessed.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
