Personal Statement:
Have you accomplished various things, tackled challenges in your life, and despite successes feel inadequate, inferior to others, not good enough, or lack self-confidence? Susan specializes in working with people who lack a good, strong sense of self despite accomplishments. A plan is developed to help you achieve a lasting sense of competence and self-acceptance regardless of your past so that you can live fully in the present. Certified in EMDR by the EMDR International Association and recognized as an EMDR Consultant, Susan provides Consultation to other therapists in the appropriate applications of EMDR. As a Facilitator in EMDR she is part of the EMDR training team. She has supervised student teachers, counseling interns, has taught series of parenting classes and has lectured extensively to various community and professional groups in the community. Ms. Goodell has experience in working with adults, children, adolescents and their families for over thirty years. Susan Goodell, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist has a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science Degree from San Diego State University.
