Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My education, training, and experience, both in life and as a therapist, have given me the tools to successfully assist clients with their problems and their personal growth. I deal with a wide range of issues, working with individuals, couples, families and groups; I treat children, adolescents, and adults. I lead parenting groups and teach parenting classes, for parents of children of any age, infants through adults. I do anger management and communication work with individuals, couples and families.

I believe the primary goal of most clients is to develop a strong sense of self in order to better handle life’s struggles. The most important factor in the success of therapy is the connection between therapist and client and their mutual commitment to work together to achieve the client's goals.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
