Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Sometimes we reach a point in our lives where our relationships just aren't working right. Perhaps it's arguing endlessly with our spouse or the kids. Perhaps it's dealing with grief and loss. Maybe it's the past haunting our thoughts, struggling with sobriety, eating disorders, depression or anxiety. In any case, we feel stuck! Counseling is a place where your conflicting feelings, thoughts and problems can be sorted out – talked about – solutions created. Counseling can help provide the support needed to try something different and to move towards creating a life that is more fulfilling, joyful and rewarding. SUPPORT – HOPE – INSIGHT – POSSIBILITY – CHANGE! These are the gifts counseling offers. There's no reason to do this on your own - call, text or e-mail now. Susan is the author of the book, "Reconnecting to Self: How to Create a Better Relationship with...You!" which is available from online booksellers such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
