Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Entrusting your story to a therapist can be a difficult and delicate process. It is my hope that I can create a comfortable and supportive environment where you will feel safe to share your concerns and hopes. I have a relational and sensitive approach, where I partner with you to address your concerns and work towards healing and growth. Therapy can provide a place to feel known and understood, where challenges can be faced and overcome. In this growth process, I strive to help my clients find fulfillment and take healthy steps towards a stronger sense of self. I have worked at APU's Community Counseling Center and Biola's Counseling Center seeing clients of all ages, and supervising and training pre-doctoral therapists. I also have five years of experience teaching part-time at Concordia University, and I am currently a full-time professor at the graduate level at California Baptist University. I deeply enjoy these opportunities, and I believe these experiences enrich my clinical work with my clients. I work with individuals and couples, from a variety of cultural and religious backgrounds. I would feel privileged to be on this journey with you towards healing and growth.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
