Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Susan Warren Warshow specializes in an accelerated, emotion and somatic-focused, dynamic psychotherapy for individuals and couples. Entrenched difficulties frequently find resolution within a shortened period of time, making therapy cost effective. Susan also conducts seminars and training programs for professionals, as well as private supervision.

Commonly addressed issues are relationship difficulties, unrelenting anxiety and depression, job failure or frustration, unrealized potential, uncontrolled anger, overeating, addictive patterns, and ailments with a psychosomatic base, such as some migraine headaches and gastro-intestinal disorders. Emotional suffering that goes unresolved impoverishes one's life unnecessarily.

When emotions are bypassed, dismissed or superficially experienced, the capacity to stay connected to oneself and to significant others is significantly compromised. Tracking the pathway of emotions, physiological sensations and cognitive processes, within a secure therapeutic relationship, often result in profound behavioral and psychological change.

Many clients indicate that Susan’s focused, goal oriented, actively engaged, and deeply empathic approach is profoundly transformational, relieving many sources of suffering. The cycle of passing on maladaptive patterns from parent to child is interrupted. Greater choice, clarity, and self-direction emerge, as well as the capacity for secure attachment and healthy relationships in all areas of life.
