Susan has a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University, is a Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist and Board Certified in Biofeedback, has level ll training in EMDR, and utilizes clinical Virtual Reality programs for clients with anxiety and phobias. She has level ll Sport Science Specialist Certification through the United States Tennis Association, and Sport Science Specialist Certification through the United States Professional Tennis Association
Sport Psychology is the scientific study of the psychological and physiological factors associated with participation and performance in sport and physical activity. Sport Counseling focuses on helping athletes, families and coaches improve performance, deal with pressures of competition, learn leadership skills and address personal challenges both in sport and life. Susan works with professional, collegiate, high school as well and the competitive/recreational adult, including senior athletes.
In addition to her private practice Susan has facilitated athletic injury groups and presented workshops at colleges, high schools and athletic associations concerning, “Stress Management” and “Mental Skills Train in Athletic Programs.”
