Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I work with you so you can feel better. I specialize in using EFT/Tapping (Expert Certified EFT Practitioner and contributor to, "Clinical EFT Handbook Vol 1") and Motivational Interviewing (Member of MINT) in treating symptoms of Depression, Anxiety, Trauma and getting out of a rut. The people of all ages who come to me are smart, aware, have done their work, but just cannot get over something that prevents them from moving forward in their lives. My goal is to identify and treat emotions that create negative behavior interfering with moving forward in life. Some of my experience includes: Over 15 years with Marin County Mental Health, Working with families, Psychiatric Emergency Services, Hospital settings, Crisis Debriefing, Military Family Life Consultant for the Department of Defense. I have had very positive results assisting people in the healing process to ensure a rapid return to a more positive and fulfilling life. Additionally, I train therapists in Motivational Interviewing and EFT. I strongly believe the health-oriented synergies between client and therapist is essential to the process and therefore hope you will not hesitate to contact me for a preliminary consultation.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
