Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Play Therapist and Sandplay Therapist, I utilize creative techniques to help adults, teens, children, and families. Through the process of therapy, you can experience improved relationships with self and others, increase insight, awareness, hope and a welcome relief from the grip of sadness, grief, anxiety, loss, depression, and the effects of trauma. I see clients of all ages, including entire families and have also included mothers and their infants improving bonding and attachment.

It is my belief and experience that each individual possesses unique strengths and competencies. For many reasons, these strengths can become buried, lost, and forgotten. Through the unparalleled experience of the therapeutic relationship, we can develop ways to gain access to these lost strengths and can learn ways to overcome pain, heal trauma, and promote transformation. I work collaboratively with you while creating a safe environment conducive to positive change.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
