Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As an object relations therapist, I am interested in really early attachments with parents, primary caretakers, and siblings. These important attachments help set the stage in the future for healthy or unhealthy relating. When there are serious problems in early life (i.e. abuse, trauma, neglect, etc.) the negative impact for future relationships can be profound creating much difficulty and pain.

Therapy can provide a valuable corrective experience by providing an environment of acceptance safely and trust to explore issues of pain and conflict without the worry of being criticized, judged or shamed. As a therapist, who loves this work, it is a privilege to participate in the healing process to support and encourage the growth of an individual in the many facets that make each one of us unique and precious.
