Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
he ultimate goal of therapy is to allow a person to see themselves in a better light and to live up to their own fullest potential. We often become overwhelmed with the day to day routine and it begins to take a toll on us and our relationships. I am here to help you bring yourself back to what is important, help you manage your emotions, and fulfill your goals. My areas of specialty are women, children, and adolescents. I have experience with families dealing with ADHD, autism, emotional and behavioral issues, oppositional defiance, self mutilation, depression, and divorce. In dealing with a child's behavioral issue the whole family, especially the parents, needs to be included in the process of change.I provide divorce counseling for the family. Creating open lines of communication is essential for an amicable divorce, for transitions to go as easy as possible, especially when there are children involved. I also work with adults, adolescents, couples, families, on issues such as depression, anxiety, life changes, cutting and self-esteem. I believe in guiding you along the path you have chosen and helping you seek out your own answers.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
