Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Everyone goes through challenging situations and rough times in life. While you may have successfully navigated through previous difficulties, it's not uncommon to have heightened problems arise where extra support and guidance is needed. As a licensed Marriage and Family therapist in Private Practice, I specialize in the treatment of adolescents, individuals, couples and families experiencing a wide range of psychological, emotional, behavioral and relational problems. Counseling can help with various personal life challenges that can range from depression, anxiety, grief and loss to disordered eating, relationship difficulties, parenting, or abuse. Because every individual's challenges differ, I offer a personalized approach by integrating complementary methodologies that best fit whatever challenges you are going through. Therapy can help you acquire effective coping techniques, transition through a major life change, work through a loss, guide towards healthier thought and behavior patterns, increase confidence and communication and lift the weight of depression and anxiety. Therapy can provide long-lasting benefits and support, giving the tools needed to get through those rough times.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
