Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
People do what they do to achieve a measure of emotional safety. As we build our families, or work on developing ourselves, we encounter problems we cannot handle well. Often these problems stem from solutions or adaptations we devised when we were younger Counseling is getting some help to work on the stuff that blocks our personal and family goals. A psychotherapist is like a guide. People do not get problems they can handle – if you can handle the stress or complication or feeling or anger, it does not become a problem! Since everyone has some kind of problem, now and then everyone can utilize the skills of a professionally trained guide to help with the journey of that moment of period of life. People who seek counseling are intelligent and capable. I seek to nurture strength, depth, capability, power, and the yearning to be whole.
