Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Hi there! I work mainly with adults and young adults who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Queer, Genderqueer, Transgender, Non-Monogamous, and/or Kinky. I work with a limited number of youth surrounding LGBTQ identity journeys and love to help parents and partners understand the journeys of their LGBTQ identified children and loved ones. That being said, I believe that my role as therapist is to help you on your individual journey towards authenticity and contentment, so I hope you'll come check out my website or shoot me an email to see if we're a good fit! I utilize a feminist approach. This is a fancy way of saying that I create a safe and empowering space that is aware of the sometimes discriminating and marginalizing world that we live in. I believe that the best strategies/tools are the ones that work for your individual journey! Healing happens in/on many formats and levels. Therefore, I work in mind/body modalities and try to extend the creation of safe space beyond the therapy office. You can read more about my other projects on my website: Please, come visit!

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
