Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have a passion for working with couples, individuals, families, and adolescents in the counseling process. Life can be extremely difficult to navigate at times and working with the right counselor at the right time can be life changing. I use a positive counseling approach to help you develop healthy relationships, a positive sense of self, and a general sense of well-being. Learning positive communication, how to tame the inner “self-critic,” and how to create loving healthy boundaries to take care of you, are just parts of creating a more fulfilling life. Together, we will explore what you need and tailor your counseling experience to fit the needs of your current situation.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
