Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I work with individuals, families, and groups and focus on helping people make meaningful changes in their lives. I specialize in working with addictions, trauma, and grief, as well as life changes/transitions, healthcare professionals, cross-cultural concerns, and disfigurement. I am trained in many kinds of therapy methods and prefer to use the one/s most suited to an individual's needs; however I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the best tools for real growth and development and so what happens "in the room" is often a major focus of my work.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
