Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My general therapeutic approach is eclectic, with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, and psychodynamic techniques where best applied. I treat patients in group, individual, and couples modalities. My approach is collaborative and one which best meets the needs of the patient. Together we figure out the best formulation and treatment approach. I encourage patients to take an active role in their treatment and a more inquisitive and exploratory look at their issues. I specialize in helping patients embrace and utilize creativity in choice of life activities and problem solving.

About My Practice

Office Hours
Hours vary depending on office location (Newport Beach or Mission Viejo). I am also available on weekends & evenings.
Services
I have been providing psychotherapeutic services to the Los Angeles and Orange County communities since 2001. I offer individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy for a wide range of issues including anxiety, stress, panic attacks, depression, apathy, drug and alcohol treatment/recovery, inability to experience pleasure, guilt and shame, effects of sexual, physical/emotional abuse, low self-esteem, chronic feelings of emptiness, and persistent unhappiness. As an adjunct to ongoing psychotherapy, I also offer referral services for supportive medication consultation and treatment when needed. A no-cost initial consultation is usually scheduled within a few days after you’ve initiated contact. At this initial meeting, you and I will discuss your situation, goals, treatment planning, referrals if necessary, and fees. The start of psychotherapy is a big step. My goal is to make it a constructive experience for you. If you would like to set up an initial consultation or need further information, please call me at: 949.793.3003. All calls are kept confidential.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
