Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I bring a wealth of clinical experience to my work with individuals (adults and children) and couples. My approach is informed by a Jungian depth orientation which includes dream work, guided imagery, and Sandplay. Because everyone is unique, our work takes shape according to your particular needs. The therapeutic process can help foster your innate strengths and resiliency while you explore your vulnerabilities and concerns. Together we help you build a greater understanding of yourself through transforming limiting patterns, fears, and beliefs. In this way, you become rooted in a life grounded in meaning, aliveness, and depth. I offer support and guidance working through and healing from the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, compulsions, chronic and life threatening illnesses, as well as that nagging sense that something just isn't right.

I know it can be scary to reach out for help, especially in a culture that tells us we should be able to solve our problems on our own and, if we can’t, there is something wrong with us. Well, I’m here to challenge that culture that values independence more than interdependence, because as humans we are designed to be connected with others in relationships. And sometimes the first relationship that needs our focused attention is the one we have with ourselves in order to ‘show up’ in our relationships with others.
